All candidates need a job offer from a designated employer that meets certain conditions.<\/p>\n<p>In order to be eligible, candidates must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work experience:<\/strong>\u00a0This should meet certain conditions. This requirement can also be waived for international graduates who meet certain conditions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Genuine offer of employment:<\/strong>\u00a0An employment offer that is from a designated employer (one that is approved by an economic development organization).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Language proficiency:<\/strong>\u00a0The Canadian Language Benchmark required depends on the NOC TEER of the job offer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong>\u00a0The applicant must have obtained at least a secondary school level credential.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Proof of funds:<\/strong>\u00a0Applicants need to show that they have sufficient funds to support themselves and their family for one year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Intent to reside:<\/strong>\u00a0The applicant must intend to reside in the designated community they will work in.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Certificate of recommendation:<\/strong>\u00a0The applicant must have a valid certificate of recommendation from an economic development organization at the time of application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More details about the eligibility criteria can be seen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/immigrate-canada\/rural-franco-pilots\/rural-immigration\/eligibility.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Applicants residing within Canada must have a valid temporary resident status at the time of application, and must continue to hold valid status in Canada until they receive PR.<\/p>\n<h2>Replacement for Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program (RNIP)<\/h2>\n<p>This new pilot program is considered to be a replacement for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canada-rural-and-northern-immigration-pilot.html#:~:text=The%20Rural%20and%20Northern%20Immigration%20Pilot%20(RNIP)%20is%20community%2D,the%20community%20and%20local%20settlement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program (RNIP)<\/a>, which stopped accepting new applications in August 2024.<\/p>\n<p>RNIP launched in 2022 to encourage newcomers to Canada to settle in some of Canada\u2019s more remote regions.<\/p>\n<p>In this latest announcement, Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, stated that there are plans to establish RNIP as a permanent program.<\/p>\n<h2>What is an immigration pilot?<\/h2>\n<p>Immigrant pilots are temporary pathways to permanent residence.
